This is Dali's house. He was a Spanish artist. His house is really strange because the house has got eggs on its roof. I know it is really strange inside. I would like to go inside one day!

The Monster

Roman numbers

Did you know that we still use ancient Roman numbers nowadays?

Romans used to use letters to write numbers: I is one, V is five, X is ten, L is fifty, C is a hundred, D is five hundred and M is a thousand.

Today we use them for example next to Kings' or Queens' names (Elisabeth II, Richard III) or to count movies. Today I went to see Star Wars VII!

Watch out, there are rules to follow: Forty is not XXXX, it is XL (fifty minus ten because ten is to the left of fifty). 6O (fifty plus ten) is LX.

Other examples:

• Ninety is XC.
• CCCCXXI means 421.
• This year we are in MMXVI (2016).
• MMMMDCXLII is 4642.

A young lady's adventure

Once upon a time there was a village called Shadow village.

“The village was really dark because the rock of the anti-sun. But someone needed to break the stone of the anti-sun and replace it by the stone of the sun” said Margaret Littlefeets.

They had a daughter called Lucie Littlefeets and had a son called Alex Littlefeets.

“I need to do something for the village” said Margaret.

They needed to go to the bad forest.

In the bad forest there was a message on a tree it said:



“Oh I don’t know ancient writing” said Margaret.

4G's Hundred Word Stories

We've been writing some hundred-word stories. We looked at Paul Klee's A Young Lady's Adventure, and noticed all sorts of things. Then we made up stories, all different kinds of stories. Some of our stories are going to be continued later, some finish in exactly a hundred words!

Julius Caesar

Julius Caesar was born 100 BC and died at 47 BC. He invaded lots of parts of Europe, like Spain. Julius Caesar wanted to invade la Gaulle. Julius Caesar's army came in a troop using la tortue. La tortue is a way of fighting. Julius Caesar lost the first battle against la Gaulle because there was a brave warrior called Vercingetorix. But Julius Caesar won the battle of Alexia and put Vercingetorix in prison. Julius Caesar conquered la Gaulle.
