Hokusai Haiku

The sea is nervous
The volcano is asleep
Waves  are like cat’s claws.

Hokusai Haiku

Roofs covered in hay
Shiny plants growing outside
Yellow hills are steep.

Below Meguro - Hokusai Haiku

Roofs covered in hay
Shining plants growing outside
Yellow hills are steep.

Erupting haiku

It is bursting now
Volcano is cracking lots
It is beautiful.

Hokusai Haiku

Small village, people wait
Brown boats sailing in the sea
Dormant Mount Fuji.

My Hokusai Haikus

The very calm sea
Warm tea house covered by snow
Ladies getting cups.

The horse is scared.
People are watching the sun.
They are going to leave.

Hokusai Haiku

Wind is very strong
It is blowing leaves and things
Mount Fuji is tall.

Hokusai Haikus

Mount Fuji is red
Mount Fuji is boiling hot
Has lots of fissures.

People are building
Mount Fuji looks very small
Fissures every where.

Fishing for new food
People are crossing the bridge
Mount Fuji dormant

Hokusai

People climbing

People are climbing
Mount Fuji is right in front

People are tired.

SnoW
The snow is freezing

Birds are happily flying

The sea is bluish.

Hokusai

The mountain looks small

People are on a platform

People are playing.

Hokusai Haiku

Huge fissures appear
Lava escapes Mount Fuji
Clouds different shapes

Haiku

Autumn Haiku

Birds sing beautifully
And leaves fall from bright brown tree
Autumn is beauty.

Mount Fuji (Hokusai) Haiku

The sea has huge waves.
Sailors trying to escape.
Mount fuji lonely.

The Mountain Bursting.
Hot boiling lava cracking.
Mountains sourrounded

Beautiful village.
Lonely boat sailing in sea.
Orange sunset glows.

Our Hokusai Mount Fuji haiku

Here are our haiku poems based on a beautiful set of prints by Hokusai of views of Mount Fuji:
