the girl

I was reading my diary, but my master came in and put the book away in a drawer!
"NO!" I screamed, "NOT MY BOOK!”
Then he forced me to take a spade, and a brush to clean the chimney out.
I was so miserable, so to escape I propped the door open with the spade! The master was asleep, so I got my diary and ran! I got on a train and bumped into the man again we talked a while then he had to get of at the station we said goodbye where should I go now?

THIS IS THE LETTER O WHICH WE USE TODAY.

This was the letter o which they used in the ancient Egyptian! It meant an eye, and they said it "en".

This was the letter o which the Proto -Sinaitic used to write in the first alphabet:

This was the letter o which the Phoenicians used to write!

This was the letter o which the Greeks used to write!

This was the letter o which the Etruscans used to write!

The Monster

In the novel Varjak Paw, by SF Said and Dave McKean, Varjak needs to find a dog, which he has heard is big, like a monster. Only problem is, when he sees cars, he assumes those are dogs. We wrote poems about what these dogs seemed like to him:
Some of us made slideshows of our poems:

Second Story

Once a twice a time...
Remember Fiona Tiny Feet? And she bought the Emerald ring? Well, this is her second story!

On the 12th of December 2084 the king and queen died. In their will they said Fiona Tiny Feet would take their place and their money with her family!

After Fiona had her 20th birthday she fell in love with Napoleon Bonaparte. Their marriage was on the 29th of January. T
hey did not know what family name they would chose, so they chose Littlebon. They had two children called Mia and Sammy! They were very happy to have each other!

Before the Snow

Once upon a time on a cold and windy day, the beautiful tree loses its green leaves and is replaced by autumn colour.
The sky turns black and storm clouds approach. Looking from afar the tree looks warm in the centre but the blackness surrounding it makes me feel scared and cold.
When I look closer, I think I can see a nest, but who lives in the nest?
I walk slowly towards the tree and notice lots of different colours, but where has the nest gone? It must be mixed with all the colours!
As I get closer to the tree I feel a shiver down my spine and jump as an owl flies above my head out of the tree and into the black sky!

4G's Hundred Word Stories

We've been writing some hundred-word stories. We looked at Paul Klee's A Young Lady's Adventure, and noticed all sorts of things. Then we made up stories, all different kinds of stories. Some of our stories are going to be continued later, some finish in exactly a hundred words!
(You can see 4B's ones here.)

Estimate the time to walk to school

I estimated how much time it would take to walk from home to school.

I checked it was 12 kilometres to IST, so if I walked on average 4 kilometres per hour that means for every hour I walk, I would go 4 kilometres.

If I need to go 12 kilometres - how many 4s are in 12? I divided 12 by 4 which equals 3.

Therefore I estimate it would take me 3 hours.

FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE

Born in 1820 to a rich family. Florence wanted to help others, In particular she wanted to become a nurse but at that time nursing was not a sign of how important you were. Her parents disagreed though when they died Florence became a nurse.

In 1853 the Crimea (Russia)war broke out. Florence was asked to travel to Crimea (Russia) and organise a group of nurses but when she arrived there at the hospital the nurses were only allowed to clean the hospital not help the doctors.

After time the doctors asked the nurses to help though, because there were too many hurt soldiers. Florence and her team were greatly appreciated! And when she came back to London she was given loads of awards then she founded a school for nurses and still improved conditions in hospitals! She died in 1990 of old age!
