Italia

On 26th Feb we started our journey to Italy. After 9hrs drive we reached Milan. In Milan we saw the biggest cathedral of Italy, Duomo. It is the 5th largest church in the world. The church is very beautiful. We also saw duomo's museum.

Next we went to Venice. Venice is a lovely and friendly city. Venice is the city of water. There are no roads or cars but canals and boats everywhere. There we saw a beautiful square-Piazza San Marco in front of the church ,Basilica di San Marco. There were many pigeons in the squares. We fed pigeons, they even sat on my hand.

Then we went to Rome. Rome is an old and historical city. In Rome we saw a very old amphitheatre, Colosseum where gladiators fight used to take place. The Colosseum could hold more than 50000 spectators. We also saw the remains of Roman Forum, Trevi fountain, piazza Navona, Spanish Steps and many other places in Rome city.

Next day we went to Vatican city. There we saw worlds biggest church St Peters Basilica. It is grand. The ceiling art ,carving and sculptures are unique. We also saw Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel. There were beautiful paintings, statues and sculptures in the museum. Finally we reached Sistine Chapel. This is one of the most famous chapel in the world. The ceiling and front wall was painted by famous sculpture, Michelangelo. It was marvellous.

After Rome we visited another beautiful city, Florence. There we saw the duomo, beautiful squares and Ponte Vecchio ,it is a bridge with many jewellery shops.

Our last stop was Pisa. In Pisa we saw famous Leaning Tower Of Pisa. The tower was tilted because of some faults during the constructions.

It was really a memorable trip. I would like to go there again. There are so many things to see in Italy.
