Christopher was
an Italian explorer. He was born in 1451 and died in 1506. He sailed for
King Ferdinand the second and Queen Isabella of Spain. He was asked to take his
three ships to explore the world. Their

across America first. He thought he was in the East Indies and called the
native people Indians.
